Cooperation Agreement between Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla (ICENT), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) and University of Zagreb University Computing Centre (SRCE) was signed on 16th of February 2016. The Agreement was signed by SRCE director dr. sc. Zoran Bekić, Faculty Dean prof. dr. sc. Mislav Grgić and ICENT director prof. dr. sc. Nedjeljko Perić in the presence of SRCE deputy director Ivan Marić and prof. dr. sc. Gordan Gledec, FER vice dean for science.
The Agreement covers cooperation on e-infrastructure development in high education, science and innovation system, primarily through synergy between two strategic projects of SRCE and FER – project Croatian Scientific and Educational Cloud (HR-ZOO) and Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla.
The aim is to coordinate development and construction of modern e-infrastructure and ensure its effective use in research and educational processes. Particularly important task for SRCE and FER is formation of a new generation expert group – e-Scientists, who would be mediators, assistants and promoters of efficient and innovative use of e-infrastructure and latest information and communication technologies in various science areas.
