Feasibility Study for Croatian Robotics Digital Innovation Hub – CROBOHUB

Since the innovation and entrepreneurial capacities in the field of robotics are still unused at the global level, even more in Croatia, the main goal of CROBOHUB project is to establish a regional digital innovation hub (DIH) hosted within Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla (ICENT), which will become a key Croatian institution to support development of new products and services in the field of robotics. This will be achieved through close cooperation with the research institutions, business support institutions and businesses operating in the field of robotics and other scientific areas that may contribute to the development and application of advanced robotic systems in manufacturing.
CROBOHUB will make a significant contribution to the development of high-tech industry in Croatia in a short term and in the Western Balkans in a long term through strong existing research foundation and development of innovation. The vision of CROBOHUB is to become an EU leading competence centre in the area of robotics in the Western Balkans.


  • Establishing robotics digital innovation hub that will provide synergies between key robotics industrial, research and end user players in Croatia with strong emphasis on providing links with hubs in the Western Balkans and industry in Europe,
  • Providing feasibility study that will include analysis of the Croatian and Western Balkans robotics market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in order to define next steps to be taken for the purpose of bringing the market to the European level and providing necessary networking opportunities,
  • Organizing central Croatian and Western Balkans event in a form of a workshop that will clearly present CROBOHUB goals and potential for future collaboration in the region.

CROBOHUB project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the project Smart Integrated Robotics System for SMEs controlled by IoTs based on Dynamic Manufacturing Processes – HORSE.
