PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Through Nuqleus, a deep tech venture building program, we aim to create a startup ecosystem which connects research institutions, startups, industry, incubators, accelerators, venture capital funds, innovations and investments agencies, public bodies and other relevant stakeholders with a goal of supporting researchers and students to commercialize results of their scientific research, start their startups and try to solve leading social and industry challenges.
The objective of the program is to foster the growth of high-tech companies emerging from scientific research, enable the process of knowledge valorization and technology transfer, and systematically create innovative companies ready to apply for DIGIT calls, thereby further strengthening their development and market competitiveness.
The program consists of three phases that will help students and researchers through mutual contact, structured education and cooperation with industry to successfully pass through this critical period of development and successfully bring to market a product based on research results. This includes education and mentoring on topics like idea validation, market research, IP management, business development, prototyping, pitching, fundraising, finance, and sales, it includes many networking events with mentors, investors and industry representatives, and help in applying for different funding opportunities.
This program enables researchers and students to learn and adopt the mandatory, crucial first steps for starting any commercially focused project and to meet the main stakeholders which can help them on the commercialization path. Having a functional startup ecosystem means that all these stakeholders understand their role in the ecosystem and there are clear benefits for them being involved.
